The evening will include a sit-down dinner and show. Tickets are available for both. Please contact the Pride Office at 873-8084 for more information or to make reservations. Dinner tickets are $40.00, Show Tickets are $10.00 or $45.00 for both.
What is the Pageant?
This annual event starts the celebration of our gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (GLBTQ) culture. Contestants are judged on their Pride Presentation, Fund-raising/Fiduciary Responsibilities, Formal Wear, Pridewear, Talent, and On Stage Question & Answer. Come witness the competition and crowning of the next New Mexico Pride Titleholders. The winning titleholders will be our ambassadors to the world. As the face of Pride, the titleholders find opportunities to engage the community, educate, and bring awareness of our GLBTQ culture through entertainment and appearances.
There are four categories for both adult titles and the youth titles; combined there are eight positions to fill each year. Here are the details…
- Mr. – defined as a self-identified male competing as a male
- Miss – defined as a self-identified male competing as a female
- Ms. – defined as a self-identified female competing as a female
- MsTer – defined as a self-identified female competing as a male
