Hey guys my name is Angie. I have recently come onto the Pride Board as Director of Volunteers. Pride is right around the corner and this year we need you to help us make this Pride better than ever. We need people Thursday June 10th – Sunday June 13th. You can be doing anything from decorating the Main Stage at Expo NM to helping us get the parade in order on Saturday. The following link is to our mandatory application, please read it carefully! Volunteers will receive free admission to PrideFest at Expo NM following the parade and a Pride T-Shirt. Outstanding volunteers (10 hours or more) will be treated to dinner at the Cooperage on June 19th at 4 PM.

The Pride Planning Bord meets all year long but it takes nearly 100 volunteers to make the Parade and Pridefest happen. If you want to get involved and even volunteer for an a hour or so, you can make a difference in how successful Pride Day is for everyone. It is a great way to meet people if you are new in town and want to see how Pride is run. Let us know what you like to work on and we can find a spot for you. Contact us (leave a comment on this page) to get on the volunteer list.

Thanks to all our 2009 volunteers. If you have a few hours, there are many volunteer opportunities for Pride all year long and then join us for Albuquerque Pride 2010 on June 10-12. Over 100 volunteers are needed to make Pride a success.

All volunteers, except those working barter hours for an organization, will receive a staff t-shirt if you volunteer for 8 or more hours.  Also get a 2010 Pride pin if you volunteer for 10 or more hours.
