AND SALE GUIDELINES

Fine Art Specifications

  • Two and three-dimensional media will be accepted. A maximum of four (4) pieces will be accepted; framed art must be wired for hanging.
  • We cannot accommodate special displays, no installations please.
  • Albuquerque Pride reserves all rights to accept or reject items submitted for this exhibit.

Fine Art Exhibition

  • Judging will take place on Friday, June 11th at 4:00pm to determine placement for each category.
  • A special Art Show Preview VIP party for the Artists will be hosted by Albuquerque Pride on Friday, June 11th from 5:00pm – 6:00pm.  Artists are invited to attend the Artist Reception and have the option to stay after the reception to discuss their work with patrons. Artists who submit a piece to the show will receive a free VIP Party ticket for the Artist Reception only, general admission for Pridefest is still required to enter the Main Gates.
  • Art will be exhibited on Friday, June 11th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday, June 12th from 11:00am to 5:00pm to the general public.

Fine Art Sales

  • It will be at the artist’s discretion if their art is to be listed as “for sale”.
  • Artists retain all rights to the art submitted until payment has been secured for the sale price of the item.
  • Money for the sale of the art will be collected by Albuquerque Pride and payment for items sold will be made to the Artist by Albuquerque Pride no later than June 30, 2010.
  • No item will be promised sold without payment made. A 10% commission will be charged against all items sold.
  • Art will remain on site until the show closes at which time the buyer may take possession of the art piece(s).
  • Art that is purchased with a check will be held until checks clear the bank.

Logistics and Other Information

  • No food, drinks, cameras, pets, or backpacks will be allowed into the fine arts building during exhibition hours for patrons.
  • Submission Deadline:  Items must be delivered to the Fine Arts Building at the Expo NM (State Fairgrounds Fine Arts Building) on Thursday, June 10 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm or Friday, June 11th from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
  • It is the artist’s responsibility to pick up their art on Saturday, June 12th from 5:00pm to 5:30pm at the Expo NM (State Fairgrounds Fine Arts Building).
  • Albuquerque Pride will not be responsible for items left past Saturday, June 12th, 2010.
  • Ribbons will be awarded after the judging and will be placed on winning items.

Limits of Liability and Agreement

  • Albuquerque Pride and the Expo NM/State Fairgrounds, or any of their liaisons will not be held responsible for loss or damage to art left in their care.
  • Every attempt will be made to protect the interests of the artist. Artists are responsible for insurance and any applicable transportation costs for their artwork associated with this venue.
  • Submission of art for this exhibition will constitute an agreement, as outlined in this document, between the artist and Albuquerque Pride.
