After completing this form, you will be taken to PayPal to purchase your registration ($15 entry fee for the first piece includes one ticket to PrideFest for Saturday June 30th; all subsequent pieces are $5 each to register. ALBUQUERQUE PRIDE FINE ARTS JURIED EXHIBITION AND SALE GUIDELINES
Fine Art Specifications
Eligibility: Everyone is invited to enter the exhibit and judging. Two and three-dimensional media will be accepted. A maximum of five (5) pieces will be accepted from each artist; framed art must be wired for hanging. All wall art must include weight-appropriate wire or other means of hanging. No sawtooth
hangers, please. If you have more than 5 pieces that you would like featured, please contact the Art Show Coordinator to discuss the possibilities of displaying additional pieces.
Please Note:
We cannot accommodate special displays; no installations or large sculpture, please.
Albuquerque Pride reserves all rights to accept or reject items submitted for this exhibit.
When and where to drop off your artwork
Artwork must be dropped off on Friday June 29th between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Fine Arts Building at Expo NM. The San Pedro gate will be open and parking available.
Judging will take place on Friday, June 29th at 3 p.m. to determine placement for each category. First, second and third ribbons will be awarded in each category (determined by medium) and one Best of Show award will be given. Decisions of the judges are final.
A special Art Show Preview VIP party for the artists, their families and friends will be hosted by Albuquerque Pride and ABQ Arts & Entertainment on Friday June 29th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Artists who submit a piece to the show will receive a free VIP Party ticket for the Artist Reception only; We will provide you with a special code to redeem ONE entry ticket into Pride Fest 2012.
Art will be exhibited on Saturday, June 30th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to the general public.
Fine Art Sales
It will be at the artist’s discretion if their art is to be listed as “for sale” on the registration form. Artists retain all rights to the art submitted until payment has been secured for the sale price of the item. No item will be sold without payment received.
Money for the sale of the art will be collected by ABQ Arts & Entertainment and payment for items sold will be made to the artist by Albuquerque Pride no later than July 31, 2012.
A 10% commission to Albuquerque Pride will be charged against all items sold.
Art will remain on site until the show closes at 5 p.m. on June 30th, at which time the buyer may take possession of the art piece(s). Art that is purchased with a check will be held until check clears.
It is the artist’s responsibility to pick up their art on Saturday, June 30 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Expo NM (State Fairgrounds Fine Arts Building).
Logistics and Other Information
No food, drinks, cameras, pets, or backpacks will be allowed into the fine arts building during exhibition hours for patrons.
Submission Deadline: Items must be delivered to the Fine Arts Building at the Expo NM (State Fairgrounds Fine Arts Building) on Friday, June 29th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
It is the artist’s responsibility to pick up their art on Saturday, June 30th from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Expo NM (State Fairgrounds Fine Arts Building).
Neither Albuquerque Pride nor ABQ Arts & Entertainment will be responsible for items left past 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 30.
Limits of Liability and Agreement
Albuquerque Pride, ABQ Arts & Entertainment and the Expo NM/State Fairgrounds or any of their liaisons will not be held responsible for loss or damage to art left in their care.
Every attempt will be made to protect the artwork. Artists are responsible for insurance and any applicable transportation costs for their artwork associated with this venue.
Submission of art for this exhibition will constitute an agreement, as outlined in this document, between the artist and Albuquerque Pride.
